While on a boat trip through Haida Gwaii National Park, north-western British Columbia, Canada, we visited Anna Inlet.  I was enchanted by the stillness of the hanging clouds in this pristine valley. 

Overnight our boat moored near Bischoff Island, Juan Perez Sound, off the north-west coast of British Columbia in Haida Gwaii. In the morning, I woke up to this amazing display of light and cloud. 

This image was taken near the lighthouse at Cape Norman, which is located on the northern tip of Newfoundland.  I was there in the early morning and was awestruck by the beauty of the dawn light on this unusual landscape.  Each time I see this image it evokes that same feeling of wonder. 

This is one of the most picturesque spots in the village of Tilting on Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Canada. This old fishing building, known as the "O'Keefe Stage" stands on bare rock and attracts many a photographer! The presence of these spectacular clouds only added to the beauty of this scene.

The first time I drove through the village of Joe Batt’s Arm on Fogo Island in Newfoundland, Canada, I spotted this beautiful scene with the fishing dories stretching into the distance. Luckily I was here as the sun was setting and it was stunning. For me this scene is quintessential Newfoundland. 

Such a stunning landscape: isolation, space, colour, texture and lighting. What more could one wish for?

Driving back from Yosemite National Park, I passed through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains with its stunning landscape of grassy hills and sparce Oak trees.  This particular Oak tree caught my attention.
