About Me

Photography for me is an expression of my love for this precious world. Making images from whatever I encounter whether it is a flower, landscape or people from distant lands brings me joy and a feeling of connectedness that nourishes me deeply. I'm captivated by the ever-changing display of color, form and light and delight in the creative process of photography.

Mindfulness meditation practice, also a central thread in my life has given me the gift of awareness which allows me to be available and open to experience my life in a way that I see, feel and sense so much more of what is happening in any given moment. My journey with my camera is a never-ending feast of discovery of what is on offer.

Since I was young I have been drawn to travel to distant places and though I thought that this would diminish with age, I find that I am actually more compelled to explore our world especially areas where traditional cultures are still attempting to survive. The more I see, the more I find myself pulled to these far away places. It really is endless!  It is both joyful to discover the people and these cultures and concerning that traditional ways of life are quickly disappearing.

When I am in contact with people from different lands, I sense that the world gets smaller and more connected.  I experience again and again that we are all one human family. It is a joy to share with you the moments that I have encountered.

May these images touch something that brings you a little closer to the depth and beauty of this beautiful and diverse planet that we all share.
