Near Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan, this cloud had such a captivating presence that evening when everything was bathed in golden light. 

Several summers ago, I was visiting Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. I had the good fortune to be there when a herd of bison (more than 600!) were grazing just near the road through the park. That evening the sunset was gorgeous and the bison were perfectly silhouetted on the horizon. This was a moment to remember! 

I love the juxtaposition of these two tepees and the three clouds against the vast blue sky.  This image was taken in Grasslands National Park located in southern Saskatchewan.

Last summer, I was on my way into Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan, and was greeted by this radiant sunrise.  

This image for me captures the huge open space of Grasslands National Park located in southern Saskatchewan. The teepees were were absolutely dwarfed by the big sky.

These teepees are a reminder of the first inhabitants of this land. They are located in southern Saskatchewan's Grassland National Park, East Block, just near the campground.  

I was lucky enough to approach this bison who was resting in the grass. He really did look like a gigantic teddy bear! 

A surprise visit in the golden light of morning.

It is a joy to witness these ancient animals freely grazing on the prairies especially in such a dramatic light. This image was taken in Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan. 

For me this image captures the vulnerability of farmland when subject to the power of a prairie storm. This image was taken just outside Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan. 

As I was watching some tiny burrowing owls, one graced me by flying over, landing just in front of my car and staring at me unblinkingly.  This image was taken in Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan. 

One most beautiful evening whilst I was driving the grid roads near Grasslands National Park, I came upon this herd of grazing cattle.
